Originally scheduled to drop on November 17, CyHi has gifted us his album a few days early via NPR. Revealing his star-studded guest list which features the likes of Kanye West and Travis Scott, ‘No Dope on Sundays’ has something for every hip-hop fan.
The G.O.O.D music signee was behind some of Kanye’s best projects such as ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ and ‘Yeezus’, however his solo content deserves a lot more recognition. Coming from Atlanta, CyHi strays away from the trap vibes that usually comes from the city, but still incorporates that influence trough his more soulful style of rap. A lyrical flow matched with the new school production of today shows that the former choir singer is more than capable of hanging with the rest. Released from a Def Jam contract in 2015, CyHi has been on the bounce back ever since and ‘No Dope on Sundays’ may solidify the Atlanta MCs strong return.
Currently only available to stream through the NPR website for free, it will hit online streaming services on November 17.
