Khalid heads back to high school for ‘Young, Dumb & Broke’ visuals

The 19-year old from El Paso has found huge success through his ‘American Teen’ album. Hit singles like ‘Location’ has made him one of the break-through artists of last year.

‘Young, Dumb & Broke’ is the fourth single off his debut album to get a music video. Khalid goes back to high school where it is set on the last day of their presumably senior year, almost playing out like a yearbook. The video goes through categories like ‘Teachers Pet’, ‘Class Clown and ‘Prom King & Queen’ which belongs to Khalid. Khalid dances on the football field, the main entrance and even in the cafeteria with a school cook at one point. The video ends with Wayne Brady making a cameo as a high school janitor singing along to the track while also questioning his life decisions. The track also has roots to New Zealand as Joel Little, who is well known for his work on Lorde’s ‘Pure Heroin’ album, produces the coming-of-age melody.

Khalid just announced he will be performing at Auckland’s Town Hall on November 12. Get yourself excited for the gig by watching the ‘Young, Dumb & Broke’ visuals below and grab tickets here.
