Hailing from the windiest town in New Zealand, and with a drive stronger than a side-breeze, Name UL delivers his own taste of homegrown hip-hop. Whilst preparing for an opening set for Mac Miller he’s created space to drop a new track titled ‘Winter.’ Aptly fitting the nations climate and the tracks lethargic beat Name UL explains:
“Winter is about struggling to get through to people and feeling like you need to get away for the ‘winter’. I wrote it from the perspective of a new father trying to cope with the stresses of having a family, a reality I’ve seen around me as I’ve grown older. This song was made in the house I grew up in with people I grew up with and has a special place in my catalogue.” – NAME UL
