L.A producer Jennifer Lee, a.k.a TOKiMONSTA has released her third studio album Lune Rouge.
After challenging health battles, including two brain surgeries for the rare brain disease Moyamoya, TOKiMONSTA came out with her inspiring story about her recovery and learning to make music again. She’s said this album is “her most personal body of work to date”. It features collaborations with Yuna, Isaiah Rashad, and Joey Purp.
Lune Rouge is an eclectic work, mixing different sounds and genres as TOKiMONSTA does best. Collaborations such as ‘We Love’ with MNDR are a synthy pop paradise, while other instrumentals like ‘Rose’s Thorns’ or previously released ‘Bibimbap’ use are more low key electronic beats, making the perfect chill out tune. The array of influences is clear, with classical, hip hop, oriental, pop, and outright electronic sounds all making appearances on the album.
